Introduction to Sociology/Sociological Methods

1. Summary
 This chapter is basically composed of the development of social science and important points of Sociology like scientific method. At first, there was no specific concept about Sociology. When many scientists researched their studies with scientific disciplines and the humanities or liberal arts, the concept of Sociology and Social Science was gradually formed. For example, Sigmund Freud and William James who were the first thinkers to attempt to combine scientific inquiry with the exploration of human relationships. Then, 5 main points were made up to researching social phenomena: Scientific method(characterization, hypothesis development, prediction, experiment and evaluation and iteration), Correlation and Causation, Quantitative and Qualitative, Objective vs. Critical, Ethics. 

2. My opinion
 As I study Sociology for the first time, I was curious about this subject. After reading this content, I think I can get the feel of Sociology and Social Science. Also I want to study deeply about process of scientific method.
