Introduction to Sociology/Politics

Politics includes the every process that people make decisions. Generally it means function of civil government, but it is applicable to all human groups’ interaction.
There are various forms of government. Firstly monarchy is concentrating supreme power to an individual, and the person is called a monarch. Monarchy is usual in ancient and medieval times. Then democracy. It should all society members have equal access opportunities to power and enjoy freedoms and liberties. It is necessary for elections that an essential element in democracy that freedom of political expression, freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Totalitarianism is another name of dictatorship that control citizen’s everything. Oligarchy is concentrating power to a small elite. It has big despotic risk. Communist state can exist several legal political parties, but communist party usually gets power and entwines with the state. The best example is the People’s Republic of China. Lastly theocracy recognize the supreme civil ruler is a god or deity.
Political party that targets gain and maintenance of political power also has various forms. In the united states, there are a lot of parties but the main parties are only two(democratic & republican). On the other hand, in sweden, small parties make coalition and control the government. It is mentioned as multi party system.

It’s nice that I can arrange complicated government forms. And it is so interesting that sweden’s parties make coalition. I’m so glad I can see one of my most favorite subject. So I can understand more easily than earlier subject.

I wonder other states’ government form and parties and the merits of multiparty system. Also I wonder how various government forms occur.
