Family

Summary

There are so many variations of "family" today that it is hard to define what, exactly, a family is.
This traditional notion of parents and children as family is called a nuclear family and is an invention of the Western World.
It is a social construct that does not necessarily reflect the reality of family life for many people.
There is substantial variation in family forms around the world, varying from culture to culture.
The primary function of the family is to reproduce society, both biologically, through procreation, and socially, through socialization. Given these functions, one's experience of one's family shifts over time.

Courtship is the traditional dating period before engagement and marriage. Courting includes activities such as dating where couples go together for some activity (eg, a meal or movie).
Cohabitation is an intimate relationship which includes a common living place and which exists without the benefit of legal, cultural, or religious sanction.
One recent trend illustrating the changing nature of families is the rise in prevalence of single-parent or one-parent households.

My Opinion

I think family has very important function. They have many function. But I think family' s best important function is social construct. So, who grew up to not receive the interest of the family, there is also be a problem in society. And here, it occurs question. If some people cannot get family' s care, how they bring up socialization?
