Gender

Summary

  Gender and sex have common feature that explain essence and behavior of people. Sociology can explain gender, while sex cannot be explained by sociology, can be explained by biology.
  Generally, sex contains two types : male and female. Between two sexes, there exists some discrimination, and it is called sexism. Sexism is one of general social phenomenon in the past, but now there are various movement against sexism. Of course, sexism still remains in certain countries : Middle Eastern countries and muslim contries.
  Gender is one of relative conception, so it is useful to explain or investigate different behaviors and gender roles in each different countries.
  Social differences of gender role are showed in working place, occupation and education, etc.

Learned Items & Opinion

  Social conceptional difference of sex and gender was already learned in middle school. So, I read 'Additional reading' : The End of Gender?
  The article suggest Gender Neutrality with some examples. Gender neutrality means that one person has both two sexes(male, female) in future and behave both roles of male and female in certain situations.
  I think it is really interesting opinion, but this gender neutrality phenomenon happens to certain neutral-roles-learned people perfectly except social learning about gender roles.

  I wonder other people's thinking about Gender Neutrality.
