DMZ

 DMZ is mean demilitarized zone.
Zone or area military commander is prohibited by international treaties and agreements.
It shall be removed or withdraw that placement of weapons and stationing of troops, establishment of military facilities is prohibited in the demilitarized zone, the setting of the demilitarized zone is determined once, it is already installed.
DMZ is installed in order to prevent or armed conflict which may occur between the army of hostile nations, primarily to ensure the international traffic routes such as canals, rivers and waterways.

 By armistice, South Korea was determined demilitarized zone of uses each 2km south-north of cease-fire line.
Demilitarized zone, because it was out of control area of more than 40 years, its natural state has been well preserved, it is specified in the academic subject of natural ecosystem research.

I think it would be good DMZ disappears by unification in Korea.
Protection of the natural environment is also important, but the unification seems more important.
